i've quickly read through watchtower's submission to the royal commission.
seems like they aren't planning to change policy anytime soon.
they are critical of how the royal commission handled the situation.. the tone is of the submission is shear arrogance.

I couldn't be more pleased that Watchtower said this. I cannot wait for the RC to lambast them for it and I am posting it to Facebook right now.

My immediate thought:
according to their findings, Geoffrey Jackson lied under oath and maliciously tried to misdirect the comission. As i understand, there are steep penalties for this; will they seek a variable of penalty for this infraction?
i was thinking the other day about trends.
think back over the decades and how generally the majority of people will feel or like or dislike the same things.
people comment how awful and ugly things that trended in the past were.
i feel the real problem with the wt cult concerning child abuse is it happens to children not adult men.

First of all, suggesting it'd be better if someone was sexually abused is disgusting.
secondly, statistics have shown for years that a person who is sexually abused is more likely to be come a sexual predator. I have read that in many places.

After the way Jackson used the scripture in acts that states "appoint for yourselves SEVEN reputable men" in the RC hearing, I think the plan is to keep it at 7.

i think you people would like to know that since the public hearing has finished.
there has been ongoing contact made to me by the staff at the rc.
they have been inundated with calls and the same experiences or similar ones are being related.. the staff are not backwards in coming forwards with insights that they have shared.
The RC sees WT for what it is now... a pathetic excuse of a Christian religion.

so far in more recent times they have only been called to take the witness stand in court twice to my knowledge one was a no show in defiance to a court order in which he gave a sworn false statement to the courts claiming austrian citizenship.
and the other jackson who gave a terrible witness to the court full of lies and misleading statements.
all this shows how damaging their testimony is when brought before authorities who demand answers for their behavor and policies.. i personal hope for that day to come and have a gut feeling that we will be seeing a lot more of these guys called to court to explain their actions and impose big settlements over their not living up to their fiduciary duty toward children who have been molested by ministers(elders,ms, co, branch personal) they have appointed.

But what will the commission do? Investigate and make recommendations? Whooptydoo
throw them in jail. Jackson should have been found guilty of inciting the protection of sex predators and the emotional abuse of millions and thrown in prison without the possibility of parol.
But this wont ever happen. Because they have no actual dirt on the GB. Just like there was no actual dirt on the villain in that episode of Sherlock.
